Is director at the center and in charge of the biomechanics team.Hans Gregersen was born in Denmark in 1962. He received his MD degree from Aarhus University in 1988. He became assistant professor in 1993 at the Institute of Experimental Clinical Research at Aarhus University and obtained the Doctor of Medical Science (DMSc) degree in 1994. He was a visiting faculty professor at the Institute of Materials and Mechanics and the Department of Bioengineering at University of California, San Diego from 1994-1996.
Hans Gregersen became associate professor at Aarhus University in 1996 and then professor in 1999 at the Center for Sensory-Motor Interaction, Aalborg University and at the Department of Surgical Gastroenterology, Aalborg Hospital. He obtained a Master of Public Management degree in strategic management of research from Odense University in 1999. In December 2001 he became the Director of Research and chairman of the research council at Aalborg Hospital. He has published several books on biomechanics and gastrointestinal function, set up several laboratories abroad and supervised Ph.D.-students from all over the world. Hans Gregersen received 7 national and international research awards. His research in the past decade has focused on development of new methods for studying visceral biomechanics in vivo and in vitro.
Hans Gregersen recently was appointed Director for the Sino-Danish Center for Education and Research.
