Mission & Objectives

The mission of Mech-Sense is to foster scientific research, education and innovation for the benefit of patients with gastrointestinal diseases and symptoms.

The objectives of Mech-Sense are to provide excellent mechanosensory research by

• Fostering new ideas that will lead to development of novel equipment and methods
• Excercising a multidisciplinary approach, especially in the interphases between medicine, engineering, physics and computing
• Recruiting ambitious and creative students and researchers based on a non-imbreeding and career-minded policy maintaining a creative educational scientific environment
• Collaboration with other excellent academic centers with complementing competencies
• Techtransferring innovations to industry and spin-off companies
